  • Intuitive Home Design offers Full-Service Interior Design Renovation Services, Interior Styling & New Build Design Services.

  • Each project is different, however the process I use is the same. We will meet a minimum of three or more times before we complete the project. As we progress within the Design Process for your specific space, I will explain the timeline and process in more detail, as the scope of each project is different.

  • You have hired me to design and complete a vision for your space and I ask that you do not select or purchase items on your own without consulting with me first during your project. I ask this because a selection may not be a fit for the design, space, or budget. If you purchase items that alter the Design Plan, additional time will need to be spent making adjustments to the plan and additional fees will occur at an hourly rate. If doing a Digital Design project, you will receive a detailed Specification for items to be purchased directly if that is applicable to your project.

  • I do my best to give you a full cost outlook of each item, but additional costs such as storage, shipping, installation, or unexpected labor do occasionally happen.

  • I collaborate with a professional contractor and a trusted team of subcontractors that have a proven track record for keeping the project moving on a timeline and at my level of expectation. My process is more efficient if I can use trades who I know and trust to execute the design I’ve planned for. There are times that it is in the client’s best interest to hire the contractor him/herself and if this appears to be the case, this can be done if both parties agree.

  • The length of time from a project start to finish depends on the scope of the project and what is purchased. Occasionally there are delays caused by weather, vendor vacations, factory errors, and other unpredictable influences that are out of my control. The client as well as all professionals hired to work on the project are expected to not cause unreasonable delays in the project.

  • Once you receive a Proposal for furnishings and decor, you have 5 business days to either accept or decline the item(s). For acceptance, a signed copy of the proposal along with full payment is required to place an order. No item will be ordered by Intuitive Home Design until I receive full payment for the product or service.

 
  • Most often orders cannot be canceled or refunded. In the event that a full refund can be attained you may cancel the order and receive a refund for the cost of the item minus the purchasing fee and any other applicable fees. Custom orders are non-refundable.

  • Since I bill on a flat rate basis, increasing the scope is something we will need to define and create an additional Design Fee for. Although it’s a formal process, it’s usually not a problem for me to add more to the job scope. I’ll do my best to get you an estimate of the add-on as soon as possible.

  • Please bring these to my attention immediately and we will discuss your concerns and if necessary, find a more desirable solution. The decision about what is purchased and installed in your home is ultimately yours. If we can have an open and honest line of communication from the start, this process will run very smoothly.

  • Many times I cannot come up with a concrete figure until I begin to source actual products and create a Design Plan. After our initial meetings, I will provide a range of what you would most likely plan to invest based on the transformation you are looking to achieve. I will always try to accommodate your budget if possible, but there are times where I will be honest and explain that your goals and your budget simply do not align. I will do my best to get resourceful and creative to come up with alternative solutions, if need be. Determining the investment figure for your project is very important for the project to run smoothly and for your expectations to be met.

  • A specification is a document that I provide that contains specific details about products I am considering using for your space. A Proposal is a document where I am requesting payment for items so that I can purchase the item on your behalf. Proposals are payable to Intuitive Home Design.

  • Deliveries are traditionally performed as one large installation of all the items on a “Final Installation Day.” This has proven to be the most efficient and cost effective way to schedule and install. Occasionally I have items directly shipped to Client homes, but then delivery will be scheduled and coordinated by Designer and approved by Client.

  • The best way to communicate with me is through email and phone calls. I will respond to an email or phone call within 24-48 hours. I avoid texting with clients as much as possible to keep all conversations within one digital thread, instead of multiple platforms. Sometimes I find texting to be useful and necessary, for example when sourcing products without the client present, however it is not my preferred method of communication.
